About the Opportunity

Applicantz is seeking a highly skilled and experienced HE Superintendent (Assessor) for a contract position in Dammam, Eastern region. This role requires 5-10 years of relevant experience and focuses on ensuring operator competency in heavy equipment operations.

Role Overview and Purpose

The Heavy Equipment Assessor is responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments and certifying operator competency. This involves both written and practical evaluations, ensuring strict adherence to Saudi Arabia regulations, client-specific requirements, and EnergyTech HE Certifications Unit policies. The position plays a critical role in supporting safe operations, maintaining regulatory compliance, and fostering continuous improvement across various project and training sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct written and practical competency assessments for operators in compliance with Saudi Aramco/client standards, local authority requirements, and site safety rules. This includes assessing Heavy Equipment (Backhoe, Bulldozer, Forklift, Grader, Wheel Loader, Skid Loader, Backhoe Loader, Sideboom, Telehandler, etc.), Cranes, and Rigging.
  • Ensure all assessments align with KSA regulatory requirements, company procedures, and approved competency frameworks.
  • Assist in the development, review, and localization of assessment materials to meet Saudi industry and client standards.
  • Analyze assessment results and prepare clear, detailed competency reports and recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate assessment records in line with audit, certification, and KSA compliance requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits, including those conducted by clients and regulatory bodies.
  • Undertake mentoring responsibilities for assessors and trainees as required.
  • Assist in policy and procedural reviews, ensuring alignment with Saudi regulations and best practices.
  • Ensure strict compliance with EnergyTech HE Certifications Unit policies, ethical standards, and HSE requirements.
  • Coordinate with site teams, operations, and HSE departments to support safe equipment operation across projects.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A technical qualification or diploma in a relevant trade or discipline.
  • Certification in one or more of the following areas: Heavy Equipment operations, Crane operations, or Rigging.
  • A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in a related field.

Essential Skills and Competencies

  • Strong understanding of KSA HSE regulations and client safety standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct objective, structured competency assessments.
  • High attention to detail, ensuring documentation accuracy and audit readiness.
  • Strong coordination and communication skills for effective interaction with operators, contractors, and site management.
  • Ability to work independently in site-based and operational environments.

This is a contract position based in Dammam, Eastern region. The salary for this role will be disclosed during the recruitment process.
