About the Role

GE Vernova is seeking a Lead Engineer Field Services to join its team in Dammam, Eastern region. This full-time role is central to managing all resources and logistics required for on-site service and maintenance activities at customer properties. The position focuses on ensuring the quality and efficiency of critical field operations within a clearly defined operational framework.

Role Overview

The Lead Engineer Field Services is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of existing or sold products. This encompasses a wide range of maintenance services, including both preventive and corrective actions, as well as the management of maintenance facilities and field service engineering. The individual operates under direct operational supervision, adhering to prescribed work instructions and system checks to achieve desired outcomes through a step-by-step sequence of standard operational tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform all on-site runtime extensions, repairs, and inspection-related service activities for installed fleets.
  • Oversee the construction and commissioning of new and existing equipment at customer sites.
  • Execute specialized activities such as on-site machining, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), blading, winding, critical welding, and generator diagnostics.
  • Make engineering decisions as required to support field operations.
  • Develop conceptual knowledge within the technical discipline and provide support requiring specialized expertise.
  • Apply general business knowledge to understand team contributions and solve problems using established procedures.
  • Consult with supervisors or senior team members for issues outside defined instructions or parameters.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to resolve technical and operational challenges.
  • Build strong customer relationships and act as a primary interface between customers and GE Vernova, communicating technical information clearly.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Basic experience, typically 0-1 years, in a relevant field.
  • Educational background comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma combined with equivalent experience.
