Applus+ Asia Middle East and Africa is seeking a dedicated Lifting Inspector to join our team in Dammam, Eastern region. This full-time position is crucial for ensuring the safety and compliance of lifting and earth-moving equipment within various operational environments. The role involves performing detailed inspections, conducting essential training, and providing expert recommendations to uphold the highest safety standards.

Role Purpose

The Lifting Inspector plays a vital role in maintaining operational integrity and safety. This involves a comprehensive approach to equipment assessment, ensuring all machinery adheres to both international standards and local regulations. The inspector's work directly contributes to preventing accidents and promoting a safe working environment for all personnel involved with heavy machinery.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough inspections of lifting equipment, lifting accessories, and earth-moving equipment in accordance with applicable international standards (BS, EN, ASME) and local regulations.
• Conduct training sessions for lifting equipment operators, riggers, scaffolders, and other relevant personnel.
• Identify defects and unsafe conditions in equipment and operational practices.
• Verify compliance with all applicable standards and manufacturer requirements for equipment use and maintenance.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports and issue necessary certificates.
• Provide professional recommendations to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all inspected lifting equipment.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in lifting equipment inspection.
• Demonstrated knowledge of international standards such as BS, EN, and ASME, as well as local regulations pertaining to lifting and earth-moving equipment.

Essential Requirements

• Candidates must possess a transferable Iqama.
• A valid KSA driving license is required for this role.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Dammam, within the Eastern region. The role requires on-site presence and active engagement with various types of heavy machinery and operational teams.
