Manufacturing Engineer (Generator Rotors)

About the Role

Siemens Energy is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer (Generator Rotors) to join its team in Dammam, Eastern, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is central to the planning, development, and optimization of manufacturing processes for generator rotor repairs, overhauls, and full rewind activities.

Role Purpose

The primary purpose of this position is to ensure the efficient and high-quality execution of generator rotor services. The Manufacturing Engineer will collaborate closely with engineering and production teams to enhance turnaround times, reduce operational costs, and ensure strict adherence to engineering standards, quality requirements, and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive generator rotor repair and rewind processes, including detailed work instructions, routing sheets, technical documentation, and tooling requirements.
• Provide specialized technical expertise for all stages of rotor service, encompassing dismantling, inspection, fault diagnosis, root cause analysis, insulation repairs, full rewinds, winding installation, connections, testing, and rotor balancing.
• Ensure rigorous compliance with OEM standards, quality requirements, ISO regulations, safety procedures, and environmental guidelines, while actively supporting inspections, testing, and Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) activities.
• Collaborate effectively with workshop and production teams to resolve technical issues, monitor job progress, maintain production schedules, and continuously improve workflow efficiency.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives by standardizing best practices, enhancing productivity, reducing costs, and fostering a strong health, safety, and environmental (HSE) culture within the manufacturing operations.

Required Experience

Candidates for this position should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in manufacturing engineering, specifically within processes related to generator rotors.
