About the Role
Hemamco Company is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join its team in Dammam, Eastern Province. This full-time role involves working on projects for Saudi Aramco-approved clients and other potential clients, focusing on high-quality construction, safety, and compliance with engineering standards. The position requires 5-10 years of relevant experience.
Role Purpose
The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for supporting the engineering, procurement, construction, testing, and execution of mechanical works for industrial and EPC projects. This includes ensuring strict compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, applicable standards, project schedules, quality requirements, and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Review mechanical drawings, specifications, datasheets, Bills of Quantities (BOQs)/Material Take-Offs (MTOs), and scopes of work.
- Evaluate technical submittals, material specifications, method statements, and vendor documentation.
- Coordinate mechanical activities with engineering, procurement, construction, QA/QC, HSE, and project controls teams.
- Support the preparation and verification of material take-offs.
- Participate in technical bid evaluations for vendors and subcontractors.
- Monitor site mechanical works and provide resolutions for technical issues.
- Prepare and respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) and technical queries.
- Monitor interfaces between mechanical works and other engineering disciplines.
- Participate in inspections, testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and project close-out activities.
- Maintain accurate engineering and project records.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Relevant academic and technical qualifications for a Mechanical Engineer position.
- 5-10 years of relevant experience in industrial, construction, infrastructure, Oil & Gas, or EPC projects.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, cost control, and project schedules.
- Demonstrated professional accountability and ability to work in a developing project organization.
- Previous experience in Saudi Arabia is preferred.
- Familiarity with Saudi Aramco, SABIC, SEC, or other major Saudi industrial clients is advantageous where relevant to the position.
