Operator Material Handling

About the Role

Al Tuwairqi Group is seeking a Material Handling Operator to join their team in Dammam. This full-time role involves managing various material handling operations, including stock reporting, monitoring offloading processes, supervising conveyor operations, and maintaining accurate records. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare comprehensive stock reports at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Monitor DRI (Direct Reduced Iron) truck offloading and conduct temperature checks.
• Supervise belt conveyor operations during material charging processes.
• Maintain detailed shift records of received DRI and flux materials.
• Coordinate daily sampling activities with the Quality Control (QC) department.
• Manage material receiving from stores and ensure proper documentation.
• Supply fluxes, ferro alloys, and other required materials according to operational instructions.
• Verify the correctness of materials during charging and ensure their timely availability at designated locations (EAF & LRF).
• Handle the charging of carbon injection material into storage silos.

Equipment Management and Safety Compliance

• Inspect equipment thoroughly before operation and report any faults or abnormalities immediately.
• Adhere strictly to all company safety rules, Health, Safety & Environment (HS&E) policies, and site Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Report unsafe conditions, damaged Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), accidents, and near-miss incidents.
• Participate actively in safety training programs and ensure the proper use and maintenance of PPE.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping in all material handling areas.

Team Collaboration and Support

• Provide support during emergency situations as required.
• Assist other teams and departments when necessary to ensure smooth operations.

Experience and Work Type

Candidates should possess 1-3 years of experience in material handling or a related field. This is a full-time position based in Dammam.
