Planning Engineer Shutdown & Turnaround

About the Role

TXM Solutions is seeking an experienced Planning Engineer specializing in Shutdown & Turnaround projects. This full-time position is based in Dammam, Eastern Region, and requires a strong background in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Refinery sectors. The role involves critical planning and project controls for complex industrial shutdowns.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage project plans and schedules for Shutdown & Turnaround (SD/TA) projects.
• Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to established timelines.
• Prepare comprehensive reports on project status, progress, and controls.
• Implement and maintain robust project control measures throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications and Experience

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant engineering qualification is required.
• A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in Planning Engineering.
• Demonstrated strong experience in Shutdown & Turnaround (SD/TA) projects.
• Must possess contractor-side experience in handling Shutdown / Turnaround projects. Candidates with only client-side/operations experience without direct contractor-side SD/TA exposure may not be suitable.
• Extensive exposure to Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Refinery projects.
• Experience with EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, reporting, and overall project controls.
• Experience with Primavera P6 is preferred.
• Previous experience in Saudi Arabia or the GCC region is considered an advantage.

• Strong English communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to be flexible and open to relocation based on project requirements.

Work Environment

This is a full-time role within TXM Solutions, based in Dammam, Eastern Region. The position may require flexibility for relocation depending on specific project locations within the region.
