The analyst will play a key role in ensuring data accuracy, resolving operational exceptions, coordinating across various teams, and driving initiatives for continuous improvement to achieve efficiency and reduce lead times.
Core Responsibilities

- Assisting in the execution and maintenance of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Resource Requirements Planning (RRP) within Oracle Fusion.
- Ensuring accurate translation of demand signals into actionable procurement and production orders.
- Maintaining and updating planning master data in Oracle Fusion, including item lead times, safety stock levels, and other planning parameters.
- Reviewing and resolving MRP exception messages daily, such as reschedule-in/out recommendations, cancellations, and past-due orders.
- Coordinating with Production Supervisors and Shop Floor teams to align the Master Production Schedule (MPS) with actual capacity constraints.
- Identifying bottlenecks and recommending corrective actions to maintain schedule integrity.

- Integrating real-time shop floor data into planning workflows to improve scheduling accuracy and reduce unplanned downtime.
- Collaborating with Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to identify and eliminate root causes of extended lead times.
- Leveraging MES insights, historical data analysis, and supplier development initiatives to drive measurable cycle time reductions.
- Releasing inventory Purchase Requisitions (PRs) to Purchasing to ensure uninterrupted material availability.
- Facilitating inventory transfers between Business Units (BUs) to optimize stock utilization across the organization, including global stock.
- Collaborating with Sustaining Engineering to explore and implement alternative design options utilizing existing non-finished goods inventory, reducing obsolescence and write-offs.
- Serving as the primary liaison between Engineering and Purchasing for the procurement of samples prior to full-scale purchasing.
- Monitoring the progress of open orders and escalating urgent requirements with Purchasing to ensure delivery schedules are met.
Inventory Management and Performance Reporting
The analyst will also be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and providing insightful reports:
- Maintaining and updating the Material Shortage Report (MSR) by coordinating with Purchasing, Production Planning, and Customer Service, ensuring a clear overview of material shortages and recovery plans.
- Advising on shipment modes and coordinating with Customer Service for final confirmation to align with operational requirements.
- Continuously tracking and reporting on inventory metrics, including levels versus targets, trends, fast- and slow-moving stock, and supplies to other BUs.
- Identifying alternate options for improved inventory management.
- Participating in cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, Lean, or Six Sigma) focused on planning process efficiency, lead time compression, and inventory reduction.
- Generating regular planning performance reports covering MPS adherence, MRP execution rates, lead time trends, and capacity utilization, providing actionable insights to the Planning Manager.
Required Experience
Candidates for this position should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience in planning and supply chain roles, with a strong background in utilizing Oracle Fusion for material and resource planning and experience with manufacturing execution systems.
