  • Facilitate inventory transfers between Business Units (BUs) when usable inventory is identified, optimizing stock utilization across the organization, including global stock.
  • Collaborate with Sustaining Engineering to explore and implement alternative design options that utilize existing non-finished goods inventory, reducing obsolescence and write-offs.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Engineering and Purchasing to facilitate the procurement of samples prior to full-scale purchasing.
  • Monitor the progress of open orders and escalate urgent requirements with Purchasing to ensure delivery schedules are met.
  • Maintain and update the Material Shortage Report (MSR) by coordinating with Purchasing, Production Planning, and Customer Service, ensuring a clear and actionable overview of material shortages and recovery plans.
  • Advise on shipment modes and coordinate with Customer Service for final confirmation to align with operational requirements.
  • Continuously track and report on inventory metrics, including inventory levels versus targets, inventory trends, fast- and slow-moving stock, and supplies to other BUs, while identifying alternate options for better inventory management.
  • Participate in cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, Lean, or Six Sigma) focused on planning process efficiency, lead time compression, and inventory reduction.
  • Generate regular planning performance reports covering MPS adherence, MRP execution rates, lead time trends, and capacity utilization, providing actionable insights to the Planning Manager.
