Job Summary

Skilled Careers is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to join a leading international data centre developer. This full-time role is based in Dammam, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia, and focuses on supporting the delivery of mission-critical projects within a rapidly expanding portfolio across the GCC. The position requires 5-10 years of relevant experience and offers a salary range of 30,000 to 40,000 SAR.

Role Overview

Reporting to the VP of Project Development, the Principal Electrical Engineer will establish and maintain robust project controls specifically for electrical systems across multiple live data centre developments. This role provides clear visibility of programme performance, project risks, and milestones related to electrical infrastructure. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Development, Design, Procurement, Commercial, and Construction teams to ensure electrical project programmes are realistic, achievable, and aligned with overall project objectives for large-scale hyperscale and critical infrastructure developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain integrated project programmes for electrical systems from design through to commissioning.
• Review contractor and consultant schedules for electrical works, identifying critical path risks and opportunities.
• Manage programme risks, issues, change control, and mitigation plans specific to electrical project delivery.
• Produce clear reporting on electrical project status for senior leadership and project stakeholders.
• Support procurement planning, commercial reporting, and project governance related to electrical components and systems.
• Contribute to the development of project controls processes, templates, and reporting standards across the organisation, with a focus on electrical engineering projects.

Required Experience

Candidates must possess 5 to 10 years of experience in electrical engineering, ideally within data centre or critical infrastructure projects. Demonstrated expertise in project controls and programme management within complex engineering environments is essential for this role.

Work Environment and Compensation

This is a full-time position located in Dammam, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. The role offers an opportunity to work with a leading international data centre developer on significant growth projects. The compensation for this position ranges from 30,000 to 40,000 SAR per month.
