Procurement Officer

About the Role

HUDSON is seeking a Procurement Officer to join a reputable Oil & Gas company for their workshop requirements in Dammam, Eastern Province. This full-time position is critical for ensuring the timely and efficient procurement of materials essential for industrial fabrication and project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and purchase plates, pipes, fittings, flanges, welding consumables, structural materials, equipment, tools, and project-specific items according to approved Material Take-Offs (MTOs), specifications, and project requirements.
• Manage Request for Quotations (RFQs), conduct supplier evaluations, perform technical and commercial comparisons, negotiate terms, issue purchase orders, and follow up on deliveries.
• Expedite material availability to align with project schedules and prevent delays.
• Coordinate closely with Engineering, Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC), Stores, Finance, and Project teams regarding material specifications, approvals, inspection requirements, documentation, and timely delivery.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in industrial fabrication, Oil & Gas, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, structural steel, and EPC projects.
• Experience supporting major clients such as Saudi Aramco, SABIC, and other EPC clients is preferred.

Required Skills and Knowledge

• Strong knowledge of material grades, ASME/API standards, Material Test Certificate (MTC) requirements, and material traceability.
• Proficiency in vendor documentation and procurement procedures.
• Demonstrated strong negotiation and supplier management skills.

Specialization

The role requires expertise in procurement related to the manufacturing of pressure vessels, tanks, heat exchangers, and piping systems.

Compensation

The salary for this position ranges from SAR 3500 - 5000, based on experience.
