Procurement Supervisor

About the Role

Org Uac is seeking a Procurement Supervisor to join their team in Dammam, Eastern region. This full-time role involves overseeing daily procurement operations and contributing to strategic material sourcing and supplier management. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of relevant experience in procurement.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily procurement activities, ensuring timely processing of purchase requisitions and orders.
• Review requisitions for completeness, accuracy, and budget compliance, and ensure purchase orders adhere to the company approval matrix.
• Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and favorable delivery terms.
• Follow up on purchase order status and supplier commitments to prevent material shortages and production disruptions.

Material Sourcing and Planning

• Develop material sourcing plans based on forecasted production volumes, in alignment with Production and Planning departments.
• Apply safety stock strategies and consider supplier lead times to determine optimal order quantities and timing.
• Collaborate with Warehouse and Inventory teams to maintain material availability while avoiding unnecessary purchases.

Supplier Management and Negotiation

• Identify, evaluate, and develop new suppliers and vendors, maintaining an updated supplier database.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and contract conditions with suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance regarding quality, pricing, reliability, and delivery, and resolve issues such as pricing discrepancies, quality concerns, and delays.

Cost Control and Reporting

• Conduct price comparisons and market assessments to support informed purchasing decisions.
• Identify cost savings opportunities through bulk purchasing, long-term agreements, and improved commercial terms without compromising quality.
• Monitor procurement spend, support budget control, and report on cost savings and overall procurement performance.

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Partner with Production, Maintenance, Quality, Warehouse, and Finance departments to meet business requirements, including resolving supplier invoice and payment issues.

Experience Required

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of experience in procurement or a related field.
