About the Role

Saudi Paper Group is seeking a Production Planning Officer to join its team in Dammam, Eastern Region. This full-time role is central to ensuring smooth production continuity, managing inventory levels, and optimizing supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will have 0-1 years of experience and a strong focus on improving forecasting activities and minimizing obsolete stock.

Core Responsibilities

  • Conduct and enhance forecasting activities and methods to maintain effective material inventory levels.
  • Analyze relevant data, including sales history per SKU, sales office, and sales channel, to ensure accuracy for forecast reviews.
  • Prepare, monitor, and report on inventory measures and performance indicators.
  • Contribute to the development, maintenance, and improvement of Master Production Schedules (MPS) and weekly production schedules.
  • Monitor the execution of the production plan and resolve potential issues in a timely manner.
  • Escalate production problems, conduct root cause analysis, and propose effective solutions.

Supply Chain Coordination and Optimization

  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Finished Goods Warehouse, and Distribution functions regarding sales orders, back orders, upcoming orders, and stock transfers.
  • Ensure smooth supply of Finished Goods (FG) items to all sales orders and channels through continuous production as per schedule, implementing corrective actions when necessary.
  • Work with production, purchasing, raw material warehouse, and raw material planning functions to ensure continuous production based on issued schedules.
  • Monitor material levels and recommend liquidation plans for slow-moving material and phasing in/out projects.
  • Minimize obsolete stock and ensure minimal business liability.

Operational Standards and Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain documentation and procedures for production planning processes and systems to effectively meet material needs and requirements.
  • Adhere to all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions to ensure controlled and consistent work execution.
  • Contribute to identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in section systems, processes, and practices, considering international best practices, business process improvement, cost reduction, and productivity enhancement.
  • Execute all assigned activities using safe and environmentally friendly methods.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the direct supervisor or manager.

Required Experience

Candidates for this role should possess 0-1 years of relevant experience in production planning, supply chain, or a related field. A foundational understanding of forecasting techniques and inventory management principles is beneficial.
