About the QC Instrumentation Inspector JIS Role

MM Management Consultant is seeking a QC Instrumentation Inspector JIS to join their team in Dammam, Eastern region. This full-time role focuses on executing inspection and quality control activities directly on-site, ensuring the quality of instrumentation and automation equipment and systems during construction and installation phases. The inspector will be responsible for supervising and coordinating all quality control aspects related to these critical systems.

Core Responsibilities

• Execute specific inspections on materials, equipment, and construction/installation activities at the site.
• Issue relevant Quality Records and provide support for non-conformance reports.
• Check cable laying and cable identification, and perform all relevant loop checks.
• Perform visual inspections, dimensional tests, and verify rating and material for connections.
• Conduct tests for continuity and insulation resistance.
• Calibrate safety valves and instruments.
• Verify the installation of instruments and perform instrument functional tests.
• Check pneumatic signal connections and fiber optic cables.
• Perform tests for communication functionalities.
• Evaluate Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and apply a thorough working knowledge of international codes and standards related to packaged units instrumentation, including Distributed Control Systems (DCS).
• Update as-built drawings.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in instrumentation installation, supervision, and control systems within Gas & Oil and Petrochemical plants.
• At least two years of the aforementioned experience must be specifically in inspection activities.
• Academic background: Bachelor of Science (** or Diploma in Instrumentation or Electrical Engineering.

Essential Skills and Knowledge

• Fully conversant with international industry codes and standards related to intrinsically safe systems.
• Proficiency in international industry codes and standards for electrical systems pertaining to instrumentation.
• Demonstrated thorough working knowledge of international codes and standards for packaged units instrumentation, including Distributed Control Systems (DCS).
• Possession of relevant certifications (*, CBT).

Work Setting

This is a full-time position based in Dammam, Eastern region, for MM Management Consultant. The role primarily involves site-based activities, focusing on the quality control and inspection of critical instrumentation and automation systems.
