About the Quality Control Officer Role

Saudia Dairy & Foodstuff Company (SADAFCO) is seeking a Quality Control Officer to join its team in Dammam. This full-time position requires a professional with 3-5 years of experience in food factories, preferably within the dairy sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement the Quality and Food Safety Policy and fulfill assigned responsibilities within the Quality and Food Safety Management System.
  • Conduct inspections and analyses of raw materials, packaging, processing, and finished products against specifications, preparing relevant reports.
  • Monitor adherence to Food Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and hygiene requirements.
  • Perform behavioral safety observations as directed by the plant Quality and Food Safety Manager.
  • Execute online testing of quality parameters according to the testing program.
  • Identify and communicate deviations to stakeholders, ensuring immediate corrective actions, including the hold and release of non-conforming products per procedure.
  • Conduct root cause and trend analysis for Quality and Food Safety incidents.
  • Verify and validate implemented actions to ensure effectiveness and required improvements.
  • Support the Quality and Food Safety training program as assigned.
  • Verify Sanitation and Pest Control processes according to established procedures.
  • Provide Quality and Food Safety guidance and coaching to the plant team, identifying competency gaps for training.
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the Quality and Food Safety Management System.
  • Recognize and promote positive behaviors and practices.
  • Ensure the calibration of all Quality and Food Safety control equipment, including metal detectors, weighers, X-rays, seal checkers, and balances.
  • Undertake any other assigned responsibilities by the direct manager that align with the job's primary purpose.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Educational Level: Bachelor’s degree.
  • Specific Education: A certificate in Food Safety Management (*, ISO 22000, BRC, IFS, or similar).
  • Minimum Experience: 3-5 years in food factories, with a preference for dairy industry experience.

Required Skills and Languages

  • Skills: Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with the capacity to influence internal and external stakeholders. Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills, including root-cause analysis and action plan development.
  • Languages: Proficiency in English is required. Knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
