About the Role

Saudia Dairy and Foodstuff Company (SADAFCO) is seeking a Quality Control Officer to join their team in Dammam. This full-time position involves supporting the implementation and maintenance of the Quality and Food Safety management system to ensure product compliance with specifications through continuous monitoring, testing, and inspection.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement the Quality and Food Safety Policy and fulfill assigned responsibilities within the management system.
• Conduct inspections and analyses of raw materials, packaging, processing, and finished products against specifications, preparing detailed reports.
• Monitor adherence to Food Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and hygiene requirements.
• Perform behavioral safety observations as directed by the Plant Quality and Food Safety Manager.
• Conduct online testing of quality parameters according to the established testing program.
• Identify deviations, communicate them to stakeholders, and ensure immediate corrective actions, including the hold and release of non-conforming products.
• Perform root cause and trend analysis for Quality and Food Safety incidents.
• Verify and validate implemented actions to ensure effectiveness and drive improvements.
• Support the Quality and Food Safety training program as assigned.
• Conduct verification of sanitation and pest control processes.
• Provide Quality and Food Safety guidance and coaching to the plant team, identifying competency gaps for training.
• Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the Quality and Food Safety Management System.
• Recognize and promote positive behaviors and practices related to quality and safety.
• Ensure the calibration of all Quality and Food Safety control equipment, including metal detectors, weighers, check weighers, X-rays, seal checkers, and balances.
• Undertake any other assigned responsibilities that align with the primary purpose of the role.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• A related certificate in Food Safety Management (*, ISO 22000, BRC, IFS, or similar).
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in food factories, with a preference for dairy industry experience.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to engage with and influence internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking, including root-cause analysis and action plan development.
• Proficiency in English; Arabic language skills are a preferred addition.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Dammam. The role requires active participation in plant operations and collaboration with various internal teams.
