Quality Control Technician

About the Role

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Quality Control Technician to join their team in Dammam, Eastern Region. This full-time position is designed for individuals with 0-1 years of experience, offering an opportunity to support quality assurance within a manufacturing environment. The role focuses on ensuring products, materials, and processes adhere to company quality standards and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement HSE requirements to ensure a safe working environment.
• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of purchased parts, materials, samples, and assemblies.
• Document inspection results accurately and as required by procedures.
• Report any observed deviations during incoming inspection to the Quality Engineer or Quality Manager.
• Create quality inspection records and apply visual indications on inspected parts according to established procedures.
• Generate Nonconformity Reports and track their status.
• Record and track the daily Incoming Quality Control (IQC) inspection backlog.
• Maintain traceability of component materials regarding their inspection status.
• Handle materials in accordance with procedures to prevent mix-ups, damage, or other adverse effects.
• Log and track materials through the receiving inspection process, including SAP entries.
• Record transactions and move accepted materials to the designated area.
• Communicate inspection results to Quality Engineers and other relevant personnel.
• Verify assembly documentation accuracy and interpret engineering drawings.
• Perform additional projects or duties as assigned by management.
• Collaborate with other departments for deviation detection, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective measures.
• Support failure analysis, troubleshooting, site visits, reporting, and quality process improvements, utilizing A3 templates for analysis.
• Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Qualifications and Experience

• 0-1 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Ability to conduct visual and dimensional inspections.
• Proficiency in documenting inspection results and creating quality records.
• Familiarity with Nonconformity Reports and tracking systems.
• Experience with SAP entries for material tracking is beneficial.
• Capability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
