Senior Chiller Technician

About the Role

Carrier (KSA) is seeking a Senior Chiller Technician to join their team in Dammam. This full-time role involves performing maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and overhaul of HVAC and chiller systems. The successful candidate will ensure reliable equipment performance, high-quality service delivery, and compliance with company procedures, manufacturer guidelines, and Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and overhaul of chillers and associated HVAC equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and industry standards.
• Inspect air-conditioning and chiller systems, diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
• Maintain, adjust, and repair electrical and electronic control systems, motors, pumps, blowers, coils, belts, and other equipment components.
• Repair or replace damaged parts and ensure equipment operates efficiently and reliably.
• Conduct site inspections and prepare technical reports covering site conditions, scope of work, findings, and recommendations.
• Estimate labor hours, materials, and tools required to complete assigned jobs.
• Complete job cards, job completion certificates, daily timesheets, maintenance records, and EH&S site survey documentation accurately and on time.
• Communicate with customers regarding the nature and progress of work, outstanding issues, and recommended corrective actions or improvements.
• Complete assigned tasks within agreed timelines while maintaining service quality, customer satisfaction, and a clean and organized worksite.
• Identify potential safety risks and implement appropriate control measures before and during work activities.
• Safely rig and set up gantries and lifting equipment for handling heavy machinery, including chillers and pumps, in accordance with approved procedures.
• Manage and maintain tools and equipment, including collection, delivery, proper use, and inventory control where applicable.
• Follow company processes, quality management standards, EH&S procedures, and applicable manufacturer requirements.
• Escalate technical issues, safety concerns, and resource requirements to the Supervisor or Manager when necessary.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues and other teams to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Attend technical training sessions, EH&S meetings, and other assigned training programs.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as required.

Qualifications and Requirements

• 5-10 years of experience in chiller maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Strong technical expertise in chiller systems.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in HVAC and chiller systems.
• Proficiency in maintaining, adjusting, and repairing electrical and electronic control systems and various equipment components.
• Capability to prepare technical reports and estimate job requirements.
