Senior Chiller Technician

About the Role

Carrier is seeking a Senior Chiller Technician to join their team in Dammam, Eastern Province. This full-time role involves performing maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and overhaul of HVAC and chiller systems, ensuring reliable equipment performance and high-quality service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and overhaul of chillers and associated HVAC equipment according to manufacturer guidelines and industry standards.
• Inspect air-conditioning and chiller systems, diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain, adjust, and repair electrical and electronic control systems, motors, pumps, blowers, coils, belts, and other equipment components.
• Repair or replace damaged parts to ensure efficient and reliable equipment operation.
• Conduct site inspections and prepare technical reports detailing site conditions, scope of work, findings, and recommendations.
• Estimate labor hours, materials, and tools required for assigned jobs.
• Complete job cards, job completion certificates, daily timesheets, maintenance records, and EH&S site survey documentation accurately and on time.
• Communicate with customers regarding work progress, outstanding issues, and recommended actions.
• Complete assigned tasks within agreed timelines while maintaining service quality and a clean worksite.
• Identify potential safety risks and implement appropriate control measures.
• Safely rig and set up gantries and lifting equipment for heavy machinery, including chillers and pumps.
• Manage and maintain tools and equipment, including collection, delivery, proper use, and inventory control.
• Follow company processes, quality management standards, EH&S procedures, and applicable manufacturer requirements.
• Escalate technical issues, safety concerns, and resource requirements to the Supervisor or Manager as needed.
• Collaborate with colleagues and other teams to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Attend technical training sessions, EH&S meetings, and other assigned training programs.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications and Experience

• Strong technical expertise in chiller systems.
• 5-10 years of experience in maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and overhaul of HVAC and chiller systems.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
