About the Role

Hitachi is seeking a Senior I&C Engineer to join their team in Dammam, Eastern Region. This full-time position encompasses all activities required for the successful installation, repair, and fault elimination in switching systems. The role involves the worldwide installation of high voltage systems for PGHV, requiring the engineer to represent the company through technical knowledge and presence, particularly in client dealings at installation sites. Candidates should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Core Responsibilities

• Ensure installation and commissioning work is carried out in perfect technical order.
• Red-mark drawings and documents with any changes or modifications made during installation.
• Supervise final installation and commissioning tests and PG installation completion documentation.
• Supervise and coordinate loop check activities.

Project Oversight and Stakeholder Engagement

• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
• Identify and manage project risks, developing mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
• Advise sub-suppliers' installation superintendents on planning and coordinating the workforce to meet schedules.
• Cooperate with the PG Project Manager to establish the status of completed and non-completed work.
• Inspect arriving material for completeness and possible damage, coordinating material handling with sub-suppliers' Material Control procedures.
• Issue non-conformance reports for damaged or missing equipment within PG's scope of supply, in cooperation with the PG Project Manager.
• Participate in site meetings as requested by the PG-CH Project Manager.

Quality, Safety, and Compliance

• Ensure project deadlines are met, always considering the cost-performance ratio.
• Embody the PG QA philosophy, adapting to specific construction site conditions.
• Ensure compliance with installation requirements and instructions, observing necessary accident prevention measures, particularly guidelines for work on live system components.
• Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Required Experience

The ideal candidate for this Senior I&C Engineer position will have 2-5 years of experience in a relevant engineering role, with demonstrated expertise in the installation, repair, and fault elimination of switching and high voltage systems.
