Specialist HSE

About the Role

Advanced Metals Company (AMCO) is seeking a Specialist HSE to join their team in Dammam, Eastern Region. This full-time role is critical for identifying, assessing, and advising on workplace risks, with the goal of fostering a "Zero-Accident" culture. The Specialist HSE will recommend and implement measures to eliminate or minimize risks and will oversee the resolution of hazards identified through safety walk-arounds, safe-start cards, and hazard notifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor the implementation of the Company EHS Policy to prevent injury, damage, or loss to personnel and resources.
• Adhere to identified risk assessment controls.
• Drive a "Zero-Accident" tolerance safety culture within the service center, emphasizing safety behavior at all levels.
• Support the maintenance of EHS Management Systems, including auditing and reporting performance to Senior Management Teams.
• Maintain equipment supplied for work tasks, including daily maintenance where appropriate.

Auditing and Inspection Duties

• Audit the EHS system and performance to ensure legal compliance and adherence to company policy.
• Plan and organize the internal audit program for the Service Center.
• Manage external third-party audits and initiate necessary Corrective & Preventive actions.
• Conduct vendor EHS appraisal and rating.
• Support improvements to the company’s existing integrated management system for Health & Safety and Environmental aspects of the business.
• Identify training needs for all staff to comply with local, legal, and Group requirements.
• Ensure compliance with site-specific rules and company-wide health, safety, or environmental requirements.

Reporting and Documentation

• Arrange and minute EHS progress and annual EHS management review meetings.
• Investigate and report all accidents within the company's specified timeframe.
• Prepare audit reports, internal non-conformances, customer complaints, and customer compliments.
• Report any injuries, unsafe acts, or conditions to line managers.
• Monitor, review, and provide feedback on policy, plans, and the management system.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Communicate with all employees to ensure adherence to safety and environmental rules and proper training in the use of facility equipment.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience in HSE roles. The ability to work under minimal supervision and guidance is essential for this position.
