Static equipment Design Engineer Workshop

About the Role

HUDSON is seeking a Static Equipment Design Engineer to join their workshop team in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves the comprehensive design and engineering of static equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client-specific requirements. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and engineer pressure vessels, storage tanks, and heat exchangers in accordance with ASME, API, and TEMA standards.
• Ensure all designs comply with Saudi Aramco requirements and specific client certifications.
• Perform mechanical calculations using specialized software such as PV Elite, COMPRESS, or similar tools.
• Manage and review design deliverables provided by external parties.
• Support bid evaluations, scope reviews, and client clarifications during project phases.
• Coordinate with the QA/QC department to ensure inspection and material compliance.
• Prepare detailed nozzle loadings, support designs, weld designs, and assembly drawings.
• Provide fabrication support and resolve any queries arising from the shop floor.
• Integrate all design documents into complete project engineering deliverables.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in the design and engineering of static equipment.
• Proficiency in relevant industry standards including ASME, API, and TEMA.
• Demonstrated ability to perform mechanical calculations using software such as PV Elite or COMPRESS.
• Familiarity with Saudi Aramco requirements and client-specific certification processes.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in a workshop setting in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. The role involves collaboration with various internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure project success.
