Sustaining Engineering Junior Engineer

About the Role

Alkhorayef Water & Power Technologies (AWPT) is seeking a Sustaining Engineering Junior Engineer to join its team in Dammam. This full-time position is dedicated to supporting the Electric Submersible Pump (ESP) product line, focusing on maintaining engineering standards and contributing to product lifecycle management.

Role Purpose

The Sustaining Engineering Junior Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the ongoing performance and quality of the Electric Submersible Pump (ESP) product line. This involves maintaining a comprehensive understanding of applicable industry codes and standards, providing engineering support throughout the product lifecycle, and actively contributing to initiatives aimed at continuous improvement.

Engineering Support and Standards

This position requires maintaining a working knowledge of all Codes and Standards applicable to the ESP product line. The engineer will support the preparation and maintenance of ESP project files for sales orders, and assist in the establishment and maintenance of customer specification files. Direct engineering support and expertise will be provided for ESP projects throughout the manufacturing, assembly, and testing processes.

Process Improvement and Quality

A key responsibility involves learning to examine methods for reducing product cost while simultaneously improving product quality. The engineer will participate in assuring that procedures and work instructions are correct, efficient, and applicable. This includes assisting in maintaining the correctness of Bills of Materials (BOMs) and amending them when necessary, as well as ensuring that all work instructions are followed to continuously improve processes and effectively reduce product cost.

New Product Development and Collaboration

The role involves following the R&D New Product Introduction process and leading the prototype process and testing. The engineer will liaise with R&D and Manufacturing teams to complete the prototype completion phase, conduct trial testing, and support the commercialization of new products. Additionally, updating and amending all necessary engineering documentation for further reference and distribution to all regions is a core duty.

Work Environment

This full-time role is based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will work within Alkhorayef Water & Power Technologies (AWPT), specifically supporting the Alkhorayef Petroleum Electric Submersible Pump (ESP) product line, collaborating with various internal departments including R&D and Manufacturing.
