About the Role
Al Tuwairqi Group is seeking an Instrumentation Technician to join their team in Dammam. This full-time position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience and focuses on ensuring the reliable operation and maintenance of instrumentation systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify the availability of all necessary test equipment and tools for job execution.
- Execute planned and routine tasks as directed by the Foreman or Supervisor.
- Perform field instrument calibration and preventive maintenance (PM) jobs, providing calibration data to the Foreman or Supervisor.
- Report any observed abnormalities during PM or calibration to the Foreman or Supervisor.
- Ensure a smooth shift handover by confirming all test equipment is operational, work permits are filed, job statuses are communicated to the next shift reliever, and common tools are available.
- Adhere to standard practices and report any deviations.
- Maintain good housekeeping practices upon job completion.
- Inform relevant authorities of any abnormalities encountered during the shift.
- Conduct required training for subordinates, including Foremen and Technicians.
- Maintain close coordination with the Process and other departments.
Safety and Compliance
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Understand and follow organizational Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) policies.
- Follow safety instructions specific to assigned jobs.
- Report damaged Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), unsafe machines, or equipment to the concerned staff.
- Keep provided PPE in good and workable condition.
- Avoid horseplay and abuse of safety devices, equipment, and welfare facilities.
- Report any accidents, near misses, or hazardous conditions to the responsible personnel.
- Attend planned safety training sessions.
- Exercise the right to refuse any unsafe work.
- Maintain coordination with relevant departments during plant breakdowns and emergency situations.
- Strictly follow DRIC plant safety guidelines.
Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in instrumentation.
Work Environment
This is a full-time position based in Dammam, requiring active participation in maintaining plant operations and safety standards.
