About the Winder Role at GE Vernova

GE Vernova is seeking a dedicated Winder to join our team in Dammam, Eastern region. This full-time position is central to our operations, focusing on the critical rewinding and repair of generator rotors and stators. The ideal candidate will bring 5-10 years of experience in related fields, ensuring the highest standards of quality and operational efficiency within our service workshop and on-site.

Core Responsibilities

• Perform removal and rewinding of old windings on generator rotors and stators.
• Execute repair of generator winding and insulation systems, both in the GEMTEC workshop and on-site as required.
• Conduct inspections of hardware and consumables necessary for rewinding activities.
• Perform standard electrical testing during rewinding activities and final electrical testing of generators.
• Complete final visual inspections of rotors and stators.
• Maintain tools and equipment within the service workshop.
• Prepare and maintain regular periodic inspections for service workshop tools, instruments, and all components.
• Write reports and protocols related to work performed.
• Support the spin pit team and undertake other assigned activities as required by superiors.
• Ensure all work complies with GE's Environmental, Health & Safety, and Ethic & Compliances rules.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of overall experience in a relevant field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with winding of turbogenerators greater than 25 MW.
• Proven experience in performing manual winding work of turbo generators.
• Working experience within a production environment.
• Sound knowledge of winding processes and operating induction heating machines.
• Ability to execute rewinding and repair work according to technical instructions and guidance from a Lead Winder.
• Experience in carrying out dimensional measurements.
• Experience in mechanical assembly activities related to generators.
• Good knowledge of common IT office tools.
