Job Purpose:
BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the arrangements to provide equipment, support, and training to Saudi Arabia. We offer maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and training personnel in the safe operation of their aircraft and equipment. The Metrology Engineer (Calibration) will apply measurement science to develop and maintain calibration systems and ensure proper procedures and standards are met.

Job Accountabilities:
  • Maintain traceability by operating an internal comparison measurement program.
  • Calibrate a wide range of measurement standards and ensure documentation is precise.
  • Participate in Measurement Audit Programmes and internal Quality Control systems.
  • Repair and overhaul equipment as necessary.
  • Assist with the training program for RSAF and Saudi National trainees.

Recruitment Specification:
  • Minimum of Ordinary National Certificate in Physics, Electro-Mechanics, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Extensive practical experience of calibration and knowledge of the uncertainty of measurement results.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office applications and prepared reports to a high standard.
  • Must possess a valid Saudi driving licence.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in report and presentation creation.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and attentive to detail.
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Willingness to travel regularly within the Middle East.
