About the Field Engineer Role
Baker Hughes is seeking a Field Engineer I for a full-time position in Dhahran, Eastern Region. This role is part of the Emerging Talent Program, designed for recent graduates with 0-1 years of experience. The program provides structured career development over approximately 36 months, focusing on helping clients locate and produce energy more efficiently.
Role Overview and Responsibilities
As a Field Engineer, you will serve as the primary technical interface between Baker Hughes' on-site teams and the client. Your responsibilities will involve working technically and professionally to ensure the proper installation, maintenance, and startup of equipment, while ensuring jobsite services meet customer expectations. You will contribute to creating reliable, high-quality support for customers.
Within the Emerging Talent Program, key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating with crew members for the deployment of tools and services, acting as a liaison with customers and shore-based Operations Managers.
- Participating in the resolution of complex technical problems through hands-on work at the rig site.
- Preparing, documenting, and managing the receipt and dispatch of equipment and products to and from well sites.
- Providing support for tenders, including data analysis and cost estimations, and performing invoicing activities.
- Engaging in job shadowing to develop a comprehensive understanding of the business operations.
Qualifications and Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (any field), Engineering Technology, Mathematics, Chemistry, Geosciences, or a related discipline, obtained within the last 36 months.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of * on a scale (or equivalent).
- Fluency in written and spoken English, with strong communication skills.
- Legal entitlement to work in the country of application without company sponsorship or time restrictions.
- Good interpersonal skills, with an aptitude for teamwork and the ability to guide others.
- Demonstrated aptitude for leadership, critical thinking, numerical skills, data analysis, and project management.
