About the Role

The Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE) at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) in Dhahran is inviting applications for faculty positions in Industrial Information Systems. These full-time roles are open to candidates at all ranks, including assistant professor, associate professor, and full professor. KFUPM seeks individuals with expertise in Industrial Engineering and related fields who are committed to promoting excellence in teaching and research.

Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrate teaching experience in Industrial Information Systems and related areas.
• Contribute to teaching and curriculum development for both undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
• Supervise undergraduate and graduate students in their academic and research endeavors.
• Exhibit strong research potential, evidenced by publications in reputable archival journals.
• Conduct original research within their domain of expertise and lead research projects.
• Produce high-quality publications and secure research grant income.
• Engage in high-quality teaching, fulfilling departmental teaching requirements, including developing lab activities at the undergraduate level.
• Incorporate recent advancements in their field of study into the courses taught.
• Initiate and maintain research activities and projects with faculty members, leading to peer-reviewed articles in high-impact professional journals.
• Participate actively in departmental and university service, including program development and other assigned duties.
• Adhere to all job responsibilities as stipulated by the Ministry of Civil Service regulations.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess relevant academic qualifications in Industrial Engineering or a related field. While the role is open to all ranks, a strong background in teaching and research, as demonstrated by publications and academic contributions, is essential. Experience ranging from 0-1 years is considered for entry-level positions, with higher experience expected for senior ranks.

Compensation and Benefits

KFUPM offers a comprehensive benefits package for these positions, including a two-year renewable contract and competitive tax-free salaries based on qualifications and experience. Additional benefits include free furnished, air-conditioned on-campus housing with essential utilities and maintenance, air tickets to Dammam upon appointment, and final repatriation air tickets for up to four persons. The university also contributes towards local tuition fees for school-age dependent children and provides a local transportation allowance. Employees receive two months of paid summer leave, medical insurance, and an end-of-service gratuity after two years of continuous service.
