About the Role

BAE Systems is seeking a Jet Engine Maintenance Technician to join its team in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position plays a critical role in maintaining aircraft readiness for the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) Customer. The role operates within a challenging yet rewarding environment, requiring close collaboration with various departments including Supply, workshops, Quality Assurance, Product Safety, SHE, and MODSAP.

Role Context and Responsibilities

As a Jet Engine Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the airworthiness of RSAF aircraft through meticulous maintenance of jet engines and associated components. This position is high-profile and integral to the operational capability of the RSAF. You will adhere to stringent engineering practices and RSAF Technical Orders in all aspects of your work, whether on aircraft or in component maintenance.

• Inspect, survey, evaluate, install, repair, maintain, troubleshoot, service, overhaul, modify, and test off-aircraft jet engine systems components.
• Perform installations, repairs, servicing, modifications, and testing of aircraft systems while on the aircraft.
• Ensure all work is conducted in accordance with the standards and procedures detailed within the MOE (Maintenance Operating Envelope).
• Strictly adhere to tool control procedures.
• Manage spare parts requirements utilizing the GOLDesp logistics system.
• Provide functional guidance to SNTTP (Saudi National Training and Technical Program) regarding engineering issues.
• Execute TCTOs (Time Compliance Technical Orders) and Special Inspections as directed.
• Contribute to the development of assigned SNTTP trainees.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following essential criteria:

• Possess a recognized qualification to NVQ/ONC/OND/BTEC Level 3 in a relevant technical discipline, or have completed a technical apprenticeship, or hold a suitable equivalent technical qualification acceptable to M&CA.
• Have substantial post-qualification practical maintenance experience within an operational flying aircraft environment, supported by formal recorded workplace applied related training, or consistent experience on the same aircraft type, or successful completion of a BAESSA apprenticeship program (SNTTP / TSNTTP).
• Hold relevant type training (Q Course) and any specific training required for the role.
• Demonstrate a solid understanding and application of aircraft maintenance and engineering principles.
• Exhibit understanding and application of human factors, error management, health and safety, and proactive hazard analysis relevant to the role.
• The successful candidate, whether Saudi or Expatriate, must obtain Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) membership at the appropriate level prior to commencing employment and maintain it throughout their tenure in this role.

• An understanding of BAESSA engineering operating procedures.
• The ability to work effectively in a mixed expatriate and Saudi national workforce.
