Junior DevOps Engineer

About the Role

****** is seeking a Junior DevOps Engineer to join their team in Dhahran, Eastern region. This full-time position is designed for individuals who are enthusiastic about building reliable, secure, and automated platforms, focusing on infrastructure problem-solving through code. The role is suitable for a fresh graduate or a candidate with 0-1 years of relevant experience.

Role Context

The Junior DevOps Engineer will collaborate with engineering and platform teams to enhance how applications are built, deployed, observed, and secured across various cloud environments. This involves contributing to the development and maintenance of robust, automated systems rather than solely managing support queues.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the construction and maintenance of Kubernetes-based application platforms.
• Develop and refine deployment automation utilizing Docker, Helm, Terraform, and CI/CD tools.
• Provision and manage infrastructure through established infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Enhance observability using Grafana, Tempo, Alloy, and Mimir, assisting teams in converting telemetry into actionable insights.
• Provide support for cloud and hybrid environments, specifically GCP and OpenShift, while maintaining a cloud-agnostic approach.
• Automate repetitive operational tasks and continuously identify opportunities to eliminate manual work.
• Assist in incident investigation, reliability improvements, and post-incident follow-ups.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure deployments are safer, faster, and more repeatable.
• Contribute to platform security practices, including secrets handling, access controls, container security, and policy compliance.
• Maintain clear documentation, runbooks, and reusable automation scripts.

Performance Expectations

Within the first year, the successful candidate will be instrumental in helping teams achieve more consistent deployments, reducing manual operational efforts through automation, improving visibility into system health, and establishing strong foundations in cloud-native infrastructure, reliability, and security practices.

Experience and Qualifications

• 0-1 years of relevant experience in a DevOps or infrastructure-focused role.
• A fresh graduate with a strong interest in solving infrastructure problems with code is encouraged to apply.
