Mathematics Teacher

About the Role

American School Dhahran (ASD) is seeking a Mathematics Teacher to join its team in the Eastern region of Saudi Arabia, specifically in Al Khobar and Dhahran. This full-time position involves teaching high school mathematics, ranging from Algebra to Calculus, and includes Advanced Placement (AP) math courses.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver lessons in alignment with the established curriculum goals and objectives.
• Implement an active, hands-on, and student-centered program to promote learning in high school mathematics courses, including AP math.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other required documentation.
• Evaluate and grade student coursework and assignments.
• Compile, administer, and grade examinations.
• Provide additional support to students requiring extra help with coursework outside of class hours.
• Observe, monitor, and record student progress, responding to individual needs and abilities within the classroom.
• Initiate, facilitate, and moderate classroom discussions effectively.
• Plan, evaluate, and revise curricula, course content, materials, and instructional methods.
• Stay informed of developments in the field through current literature, peer discussions, and professional conferences.
• Collaborate with colleagues on teaching and research issues.
• Support district and school initiatives with professionalism.
• Demonstrate creativity in teaching approaches.
• Serve on academic or administrative committees addressing institutional policies, departmental matters, and academic issues.
• Ensure a safe learning environment for students and staff at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal and/or Assistant Principal.

Qualifications and Experience
