About the Role

Baker Hughes is seeking a Project Controller - Finance to join their team in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves providing financial planning, analysis, and reporting for corporate functions, business units, or profit and loss centers to ensure projects align with approved budgets and financial objectives. The Finance Team at Baker Hughes supports business operations through worldwide book closings and collaboration with local and regional controllership teams, handling preparatory and closing activities including reporting and intercompany transactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee project execution and management, ensuring adherence to approved budgets in collaboration with the Project Manager.
  • Proactively manage financial and accounting matters, implementing actions to improve controls and reporting accuracy.
  • Ensure consistent and accurate reporting and forecasting of revenue, costs, progress, schedules, and contingencies.
  • Apply foundational knowledge of engineering, drilling, supply chain, HR, and P&L operations to accurately estimate revenue, fixed and variable costs, activity rates, and indirect costs.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with project teams, leading financial discussions.
  • Assist the Project Manager with project closure activities and prepare financial documentation for after-action reviews.
  • Develop actionable plans to address unfavorable variances, mitigate risks, and improve project profitability and cash flow.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, or an equivalent qualification from an accredited university or college.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in finance.
  • At least 3 years of experience specifically in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Operations, such as a Finance Manager role.
  • Previous experience in the oil & gas industry is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve complex financial problems.
  • Proven ability to lead programs and projects effectively.
