Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out inspection of engines, components, and associated systems.

Training, Quality, and Safety

The technician is responsible for maintaining valid and current authorisations relevant to assigned tasks. This includes supporting training activities, providing technical guidance, and assisting with the development of trainee technicians, while proactively identifying training requirements for self and others. Compliance with technical publications and approved maintenance procedures is essential, alongside supporting FOD prevention and housekeeping standards. Adherence to all Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) and Product Safety requirements is mandatory, ensuring all maintenance documentation is completed accurately and on time, and promoting safe working practices.

Program Context

For engineers, this presents an opportunity to work on one of the world's largest remaining operational Tornado fleets, collaborating with experienced military aviation professionals. Supporting operational military aircraft overseas in this capacity is becoming increasingly rare.
