Social Studies Teacher

About the Role

مدارس المجموعة العالمية (ISG) is seeking a Social Studies Teacher to join a dynamic department. This full-time position is based in the Eastern region of Saudi Arabia, specifically in Al Khobar and Dhahran, and involves teaching high school students.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver lessons in accordance with established curriculum goals and objectives.
• Implement an active, hands-on, and student-centered program for high school social studies courses, including AP courses.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other required information.
• Evaluate and grade student coursework and assignments.
• Compile, administer, and grade examinations.
• Provide additional support to students requiring assistance with coursework outside of class.
• Monitor and record student progress, responding to individual needs and abilities within the classroom.
• Initiate, facilitate, and moderate classroom discussions.
• Plan, evaluate, and revise curricula, course content, materials, and instructional methods.
• Stay informed of developments in the field through literature, peer discussions, and professional conferences.
• Collaborate with colleagues on teaching and research matters.
• Support district and school initiatives professionally.
• Serve on academic or administrative committees addressing institutional policies, departmental issues, and academic matters.
• Supervise student after-school activities or coach/assistant coach an athletic team.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the principal and/or assistant principal.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in teaching social studies, preferably at the high school level.
• Demonstrated creativity in teaching methodologies.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and collaborate with colleagues.

Work Environment

This is a full-time teaching position within an established social studies department. The role requires active engagement with students and collaboration with faculty members to support educational objectives and school initiatives.
