About the Role

Almarai is seeking a dedicated Fire & Safety Officer to join our team in Hail. This full-time position is crucial for ensuring the safety and well-being of all personnel, contractors, and visitors across all Hail site locations and accommodation facilities. The role involves proactive identification and reporting of safety hazards, and the implementation of corrective actions to mitigate risks.

Key Responsibilities

The Fire & Safety Officer will be responsible for overseeing the safety of all divisional personnel, contractors, and visitors at all Hail site locations and accommodation. This includes:

  • Reporting any unsafe or defective equipment, practices, acts, or omissions to functional management.
  • Ensuring immediate corrective action is taken to eliminate or minimize the risk of loss resulting from fire, smoke, and water damage to Almarai resources.
  • Maintaining safety standards for personnel, buildings, plant and equipment, products, raw materials, and information systems.

Core Duties

  • Conducting fire inspections and maintenance.
  • Performing fire risk assessments and implementing risk management strategies.
  • Investigating fire accidents and preparing incident/accident reports.
  • Conducting fire drills and fire prevention training sessions.
  • Supervising subordinates and planning their work.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Membership in IOSHE and ISO 9001:2008 certified Lead Auditor qualification.
  • 3 years of experience in a multi-cultural workforce organization, with specific experience handling fire detection and suppression equipment.
  • 3 to 5 years of previous experience in fire management is essential.
  • Previous experience as a trained fire-fighter with a civil Fire Brigade or a large multi-national company fire team is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience with fire detection and fire suppression equipment.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Proficiency in computer systems and exposure to the SAP environment.
  • Excellent spoken and written English and Arabic communication skills.
