About the AC Mechanic Role

Boskalis, a prominent international marine services provider, is seeking a skilled AC Mechanic to join their team in Jīzān, Saudi Arabia. This role is essential for maintaining and repairing the air conditioning systems on the company's marine vessels, contributing directly to operational efficiency. You will be part of a diverse team of experts, working in a dynamic environment to support the company's success.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair air conditioning systems across various marine vessels.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot air conditioning system issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
• Conduct regular maintenance checks to ensure optimal system performance and prevent breakdowns.
• Monitor refrigerant levels, pressures, and temperature controls to ensure adherence to industry standards.
• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
• Assist in the repair of other vessel equipment and machinery as needed.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as an AC Mechanic, preferably in a marine or similar operational setting.
• Strong technical understanding of air conditioning systems, their components, and refrigerant handling procedures.
• Ability to interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and manuals.
• Proficient diagnostic skills for resolving complex air conditioning system issues.
• Knowledge of safety protocols relevant to AC maintenance in a marine environment.
• Physical fitness and capability to work in confined spaces and challenging environmental conditions.
• Willingness to travel on short notice within Saudi Arabia.

Work Arrangement and Location

This is a part-time role based in Jīzān, Saudi Arabia. The work schedule follows an 18-weeks-on, 9-weeks-off rotation. Interviews may be conducted online or in the office.
