Senior BIM Electrical Engineer

About the Role

Outdoor Factory MEA is seeking a Senior BIM Electrical Engineer to join their team in Jizan, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves shaping the electrical infrastructure for a new family entertainment center. The engineer will be responsible for developing and managing detailed BIM models for all electrical systems, ensuring they guide the project's design, coordination, and construction.

Role Context

The Senior BIM Electrical Engineer will play a key role in translating complex electrical designs into precise, clash-free models. These models will be critical for the safe and efficient operation of rides, attractions, and public spaces within the entertainment center. The position requires a professional who can ensure that electrical systems, from lighting to power distribution, are accurately represented and coordinated for site teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage detailed 3D BIM models for all electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, low current, fire alarm, CCTV, public address, and data networks.
• Lead multi-discipline coordination with architectural, structural, and MEP teams, including running clash detection and driving resolution.
• Produce and review coordinated shop drawings, as-built models, and quantity take-offs directly from the model.
• Ensure designs comply with project requirements, SEC (Saudi Electricity Company) standards, Saudi Building Code, and relevant international standards.
• Implement and maintain the BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and model standards for the electrical discipline.
• Review contractor and subcontractor submittals and models for accuracy and constructability.
• Support site teams with model-based solutions, RFIs, and design changes.
• Mentor junior BIM engineers and modelers, and establish quality standards for the team.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex electrical design into clear, clash-free BIM models.
• Proficiency in BIM software and related tools for electrical system design and coordination.
• Strong understanding of SEC standards, Saudi Building Code, and international electrical standards.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Jizan, Saudi Arabia, within a project-focused environment dedicated to the development of a new family entertainment center.
