Role Overview: Assistant Director of Finance

As an Assistant Director of Finance, you will support the Director of Finance in overseeing the daily financial and accounting operations of the hotel. This full-time position is based in Jeddah or Makkah, Saudi Arabia, and requires a Saudi National with 5-10 years of relevant experience. The role involves ensuring financial compliance, accurate reporting, and effective team supervision within the finance department.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Director of Finance in managing the hotel’s day-to-day finance and accounting operations.
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements, management reports, P&L analysis, and performance reports.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, provisions, and accounting transactions.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow monitoring, and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with hotel financial policies, internal controls, SOPs, and accounting standards.
• Monitor revenue, expenses, costs, and departmental financial performance, highlighting major variances or risks.
• Support payroll review and ensure accurate recording and reconciliation.
• Assist with internal and external audits and related documentation.
• Ensure compliance with Saudi financial and tax requirements, including VAT and ZATCA.
• Supervise and support the Finance team, including workload management, training, and development.
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and development of Finance team members.
• Collaborate with operational departments to provide financial guidance and controls.
• Act as a key support to the Director of Finance and assume departmental responsibilities as required.

Candidate Requirements

• Saudi National.
• 5-10 years of experience in finance and accounting, preferably within the hospitality sector.
• Demonstrated understanding of financial policies, internal controls, and accounting standards.
• Proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
• Knowledge of Saudi financial and tax regulations, including VAT and ZATCA.
• Strong leadership and team supervision skills.
