About the Role

Delta Hotels and Resorts® is seeking an Assistant Director of Sales Office to join our team in Makkah, with responsibilities extending to Jeddah. This full-time role involves assisting in leading the property’s segmented sales efforts, which include group, transient, association, and corporate segments. The primary objective is to support the implementation of sales strategies, achieve segment and property revenue goals, and ensure high levels of guest and employee satisfaction.

The Assistant Director will conduct day-to-day activities related to the sales function, focusing on building long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable the achievement of property sales objectives and personal booking goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the sales leader to ensure understanding and effective implementation of sales strategies for specific segments.
• Assist in the development, implementation, and sustaining of aggressive solicitation programs focused on increasing business.
• Work with the management team to create and implement sales plans addressing revenue, customers, and market dynamics for the assigned segment.
• Support the development and implementation of both internal and external promotions.
• Provide positive and aggressive leadership to ensure maximum revenue potential, setting an example with personal booking goals and recommending goals for sales team members.
• Approve space release for catering to maximize revenue in the absence of a Business Evaluation Manager.
• Participate in sales calls with team members to acquire new business and/or close on existing business.
• Execute and support the operational aspects of business booked, including generating proposals, writing contracts, and managing customer correspondence.
• Analyze market information using sales systems and implement strategies to achieve the property’s financial room and catering goals.
• Assist Revenue Management with completing accurate six-period projections.
• Review sales and catering guest satisfaction results to identify areas for improvement.

Customer Service and Relationship Management

• Display leadership in guest hospitality, exemplify customer service, and create a positive example for guest relations.
• Interact with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels, including during pre- and post-convention meetings.
• Empower employees to provide excellent customer service and observe service behaviors to provide feedback.
• Ensure that a customer recognition program is in effect throughout the Sales department.
• Execute and support the company’s Customer Service Standards and the property’s Brand Standards.
• Develop and manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
• Work collaboratively with off-property sales channels (*, Event Booking Center, Market Sales, GSO) to ensure property needs are achieved and sales efforts are complementary.
• Attend customer events, trade shows, and sales missions to maintain, build, or develop key relationships with GSO Managers and customers.

Qualifications and Experience

• A 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or a related major, combined with 3 years of experience in sales and marketing or a related professional area.

• A 4-year bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or a related major, combined with 1 year of experience in sales and marketing or a related professional area.

Location and Work Type

This is a full-time position based in Makkah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with responsibilities extending to Jeddah.
