About Shangri-La Jeddah

Shangri-La Jeddah is located on the new Jeddah Waterfront along the Red Sea, offering a new standard for luxury in the city. The hotel features floor-to-ceiling windows, interiors reflecting the sea and sandy beaches, a dedicated Kids Club, and innovative dining concepts.

The Role of Assistant IT Manager

The Assistant IT Manager is responsible for managing daily operations and coordinating with the Information Technology Manager to ensure the smooth functioning of the Information Technology Department. This full-time role, based in Jeddah, requires 2-5 years of experience and involves assisting in establishing hardware maintenance programs and procedures for system interruptions, as well as ensuring data storage security and protection.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure critical hotel application systems, such as Opera PMS, Infrasys POS, Call Accounting System, Check EAM, and Messaging System, including associated hardware, are operational.
  • Address user-reported Information Technology problems related to both hardware and application systems.
  • Ensure proper implementation of day-to-day standard Information Technology operating procedures, including checklists and new requirements.
  • Develop new application systems and enhance existing ones to benefit departmental daily operations and the hotel.
  • Continuously identify and plan for improvements in Information Technology-related areas, providing feedback and recommendations to management.
  • Practice and role-model the Guiding Principles and Core Values of Shangri-La Hospitality.
  • Promote environmental responsibility by reducing waste, recycling, and reusing when applicable.
  • Familiarize with CSR initiatives, policies, procedures, guidelines, rules, and regulations per company CSR, including those of local and national government.
  • Ensure compliance and application of all CSR job-related decisions and activities to achieve the hotel's CSR goals and objectives.
