About the Role

Leylaty Group is seeking a skilled and experienced Chef de Partie – Pastry to join their culinary team in Makkah. This full-time position involves overseeing the pastry section to ensure the consistent production of high-quality desserts, pastries, and baked goods, while upholding stringent standards for food safety, presentation, and kitchen operations. The role is based in Jeddah and Makkah.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily operations of the pastry section to ensure smooth service delivery.
  • Prepare and present high-quality pastries, desserts, cakes, breads, and baked goods according to established recipes.
  • Maintain consistency in product quality, taste, and visual presentation.
  • Supervise, train, and support Commis Pastry staff.
  • Organize daily mise en place and ensure all production tasks are completed on schedule.
  • Monitor food quality, control portion sizes, and minimize waste.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the pastry kitchen, equipment, and workstations.
  • Assist with inventory control, stock rotation using the FIFO method, and identify ordering requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef on the development of seasonal desserts and new menu items.
  • Ensure safe usage of all equipment and report any maintenance issues promptly.
  • Contribute to a positive, professional, and team-oriented kitchen environment.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A diploma or certification in Pastry Arts, Culinary Arts, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2–3 years of experience in a Chef de Partie – Pastry role or a similar position is required.
  • Possess strong knowledge of pastry techniques, baking, chocolate work, and dessert preparation.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of HACCP and food safety standards.
