Role Overview: Demi Chef De Partie

EDITION is seeking a Demi Chef De Partie to join its team in Jeddah. This full-time role involves supervising and coordinating kitchen activities, ensuring high standards of food presentation, and maintaining operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of relevant experience and a commitment to quality and safety within a professional kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of cooks and kitchen staff.
• Determine food presentation standards and create decorative food displays.
• Ensure proper portioning, arrangement, and garnishing of food items.
• Monitor the quantity of food prepared and manage kitchen inventory.
• Inform Food & Beverage service staff about menu specials and out-of-stock items.
• Prepare special meals or substitute items as required.
• Assist cooks and kitchen staff with various tasks and provide necessary items.
• Maintain kitchen logs for food safety programs and product tracking.
• Ensure the quality of food items and report any products not meeting specifications to management.
• Support management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
• Adhere to all company and safety and security policies and procedures, including reporting maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions.
• Ensure personal appearance and uniform are clean and professional.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Address guests’ service needs and communicate professionally.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and support team goals.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
• Capability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
