About the Role

Bupa Arabia is seeking a Director - Clinical Governance to lead the Clinical Governance function in Jeddah. This full-time role is responsible for ensuring the organization's commitment to clinical excellence, patient safety, and regulatory compliance. The Director will develop and implement a comprehensive clinical governance framework, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and risk management within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Define the vision and goals for Clinical Governance, Medical Quality, Patient Safety, Clinical Risk, and Accreditation.
• Develop and implement strategic and operational plans for the Clinical Governance function, including budget planning.
• Establish governance policies, procedures, and standards in line with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
• Develop and maintain the Clinical Risk Register, ensuring mitigation actions are in place and escalating patient safety risks to leadership.
• Lead audits of compliance with MOH and regulatory clinical standards and guidelines.
• Oversee the organization's Clinical Guidelines Program, ensuring the development, review, implementation, and continuous improvement of evidence-based clinical guidelines.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and analyses of clinical practices and operational procedures.
• Develop and maintain systems for incident reporting and the capture of learning outcomes.
• Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing patient safety and clinical outcomes, collaborating with clinical staff to implement quality improvement strategies.
• Foster effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory authorities and accreditation bodies.
• Set performance goals for team members, manage annual performance evaluations, and monitor adherence to policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Demonstrated experience in clinical governance, patient safety, and risk management.
• Proven ability to develop and implement comprehensive clinical governance frameworks.
• Experience with regulatory compliance for healthcare authorities and accreditation bodies (*, CBAHI, JCI).
• Strong analytical skills for qualitative and quantitative data related to governance and clinical audit projects.
