Estimation Engineer

About the Role

SKM Air Conditioning is seeking an Estimation Engineer to join their team in Makkah, with responsibilities covering Jeddah and Makkah. This full-time role involves preparing, reviewing, and submitting technical and commercial proposals for after-sales service contracts, retrofit projects, spare parts, maintenance agreements, and repair works. The Estimation Engineer will coordinate closely with customers, sales teams, service operations, procurement, and finance to develop competitive and profitable bids.

Key Responsibilities

• Review RFQs, tenders, and customer inquiries related to after-sales services.
• Prepare technical and commercial quotations for Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC), Comprehensive Maintenance Contracts (CMC), retrofit and modernization projects, spare parts supply, repairs and service works, and energy efficiency and upgrade solutions.
• Analyze customer requirements, specifications, and project scope.
• Conduct site surveys as required to assess equipment conditions and service requirements.
• Coordinate with service operations, engineering, procurement, and suppliers to obtain technical and commercial inputs.
• Prepare cost estimations, pricing calculations, and profit margin analysis.
• Develop technical proposals, compliance statements, and bid documentation.
• Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
• Ensure bids comply with company policies, customer requirements, and contractual terms.
• Maintain records of quotations, tender submissions, and bid status.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-8 years of experience in HVAC After Sales, Service Sales, Estimation, or Bid Engineering.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, including Chillers, AHUs, FCUs, VRF Systems, Package Units, and Cooling Towers.
• Experience in preparing service and maintenance contract proposals.
• Knowledge of tendering procedures and contract management.
• Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, and estimation software.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with HVAC manufacturers or service companies such as Carrier, Trane, Johnson Controls, Daikin, SKM, Zamil, or similar.
• GCC/UAE/KSA market exposure.
• Knowledge of maintenance contracts, retrofit projects, and HVAC service operations.

Work Environment and Location

This is a full-time position based in Makkah, with responsibilities extending to Jeddah. The role requires coordination across various internal departments and external stakeholders.
