Estimation Engineer

About the Role

HUDSON is seeking an experienced Estimation Engineer to join a reputable Oil & Gas Company in Dammam, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position requiring a professional with a strong background in cost estimation within the industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Review RFQs, ITTs, tender documents, Statements of Work (SOW), drawings, specifications, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and client requirements.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, quotations, and commercial proposals.
• Perform accurate quantity take-offs for various project components.
• Estimate costs for manpower, materials, equipment, tools, consumables, subcontractors, and logistics.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from vendors and subcontractors.
• Prepare comprehensive resource and cost breakdowns.
• Coordinate effectively with Engineering, Procurement, Operations, and Projects departments.
• Identify inclusions, exclusions, clarifications, and potential commercial risks.
• Maintain estimation sheets and historical rate/cost databases.
• Prepare BOQ pricing, rate analysis, and bid comparison sheets.

Additional Duties

• Identify cost-impacting requirements derived from technical specifications.
• Support value engineering initiatives and cost optimization efforts.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and clarification meetings.
• Prepare commercial clarifications and respond to tender and client pricing queries.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of pricing and commercial information.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and commercial strategies.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience as an Estimation Engineer.
• Proven experience within the Oil & Gas sector is required.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in cost estimation.
