Head of Electrical

About the Role

HAK Engineering is seeking a Head of Electrical to manage the company's electrical engineering operations. This full-time position is based in Jiddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia, and involves overseeing the preparation and review of designs, drawings, and technical specifications to ensure high-quality engineering deliverables.

Role Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to manage the electrical engineering department, ensuring compliance with project requirements, approved codes, and standards. The Head of Electrical will provide technical support to design and supervision teams, aiming to efficiently meet client requirements with high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Electrical Engineering Department, including task assignment and performance monitoring.
• Supervise the preparation, review, and approval of electrical designs, calculations, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Review electrical power, lighting, distribution, grounding, lightning protection, and low-current systems.
• Ensure compliance with project requirements, the Saudi Building Code, and applicable technical standards.
• Coordinate electrical designs with architectural, structural, mechanical, and other engineering disciplines.
• Provide technical supervision during project execution and resolve technical issues and design changes.
• Review and approve materials, equipment, and shop drawings within the scope of authority.
• Monitor engineering deliverables, project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
• Evaluate team performance, develop technical capabilities, and improve departmental procedures.
• Coordinate with project managers, clients, consultants, and contractors on technical matters.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical engineering.
• Demonstrated ability to manage electrical engineering operations and teams.
• Strong understanding of relevant codes, standards, and project requirements, including the Saudi Building Code.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Jiddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia, requiring active collaboration with various engineering disciplines, project managers, clients, and contractors.
