About the Key Account Manager Role
GALDERMA, a leader in dermatology, is seeking a Key Account Manager (Pharmacy Chains) for its operations in Jeddah, KSA. This full-time position requires 5-10 years of experience and focuses on driving growth within the pharmacy channel. GALDERMA is dedicated to advancing dermatology for every skin story, delivering innovative, science-based products across Injectable Aesthetics, Dermatological Skincare, and Therapeutic Dermatology.
Role Responsibilities
The Key Account Manager will be responsible for developing and executing strategic plans for major pharmacy chains in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, aligning with overall business and integrated dermatology strategies. This includes building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers at the customer level. The role involves leading Joint Business Planning (JBP) with customers to define growth drivers, trade plans, and category opportunities. Delivering volume, value, and profitability targets through effective account management is a core function. The manager will own forecasting, demand planning, and financial performance for assigned accounts, including trade investment optimization. Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sell-in, sell-out, stock levels, and return on investment (ROI), and taking corrective actions to maximize performance, is essential. Commercial negotiations, including pricing, trade terms, and promotional plans, will be led by this role, ensuring competitive positioning while maximizing profitability and ROI. The position also requires ensuring best-in-class in-store execution across all touchpoints, including availability, visibility, merchandising, and promotions. Collaboration with field teams to translate account plans into actionable execution priorities and driving growth across online and offline channels, including e-commerce platforms, are key duties. Optimizing digital visibility, content, and promotional activities across customer platforms is also expected. Furthermore, the role involves leading, coaching, and developing a team of Key Account Executives or Sales team members, setting clear objectives, monitoring performance, and driving a high-performance culture. Close partnership with marketing, supply chain, finance, and sales teams is required for seamless execution, alongside leading cross-functional alignment to deliver a unified “One Galderma” approach. Analyzing market trends, competitor activity, and shopper insights to identify opportunities and risks, and leading successful execution of new product launches and portfolio expansion within accounts are also part of the responsibilities. Adherence to all company policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards is mandatory.
Qualifications and Experience
Candidates should possess 6–10+ years of experience in Key Account Management, preferably within the FMCG, Consumer Health, or Pharmaceutical sectors, with a background in dermatology or skincare being an advantage. A proven track record of managing major pharmacy chains or modern trade accounts is required. Strong commercial acumen, including experience in negotiations, trade planning, and P&L management, is essential. Experience in leading and developing teams in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment is necessary. Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights are important. Experience in e-commerce or omnichannel account management is highly desirable. Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to operate at senior levels, are expected. A results-driven mindset with strong ownership and accountability is crucial.
Language and Location
Fluency in English is required. Arabic is considered a strong advantage. The role requires a willingness to be based in Jeddah, KSA.
