The Role: Key Account Manager, Pharmacy Automation

BD is seeking a Key Account Manager, Pharmacy Automation (PA) to join our team in the Western Region of Saudi Arabia, covering cities such as Makkah and Jeddah. This full-time role is central to driving revenue growth and profitability by promoting and selling Pharmacy Automation products, solutions, and services. The position requires 5-10 years of relevant experience and focuses on developing strategic customer relationships and identifying new business opportunities.

Core Responsibilities

  • Identify business opportunities for Pharmacy Automation products and relevant stakeholders within assigned accounts and territories.
  • Lead engagement with government healthcare institutions and Ministry of Health (MOH) decision-makers to expand market presence and achieve business objectives.
  • Develop and execute territory and account plans aligned with regional sales strategies.
  • Achieve agreed annual sales, revenue, and growth targets.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key customers and decision-makers.
  • Manage complex multi-account agreements and negotiations.
  • Convert sales opportunities into profitable business outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate sales pipeline, forecasting, and CRM records.
  • Collaborate across functions with sales, marketing, and solution-design teams to deliver customer solutions and business growth.

Strategic Account Development

A primary objective of this role is to expand and strengthen the Pharmacy Automation business within the Ministry of Health (MOH) sector. This involves developing strategic relationships with key stakeholders, identifying new opportunities, and supporting the successful adoption and implementation of BD solutions. The role requires a customer-centric approach to deliver sustainable business growth.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Healthcare Management, Pharmacy, or a related healthcare discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of successful sales experience, with a proven track record of consistent performance and career progression.
  • Previous experience in key account management or strategic account development is preferred.
  • Experience working within multinational or international organizations is advantageous.

  • Demonstrated success in consultative and solution-based selling.
  • Strong commercial awareness and business acumen.
  • Experience in territory planning, account management, and sales forecasting.
  • Ability to identify, develop, and close new business opportunities in a competitive market environment.
