Delta Hotels and Resorts is seeking a Life Guard to join our team in Jeddah. This full-time position is suitable for candidates with 0-1 years of experience, focusing on ensuring guest safety and maintaining our recreation facilities to the highest standards.

Role Summary

As a Life Guard, you will be primarily responsible for safeguarding guests within the swimming areas and ensuring the overall upkeep of the recreation facility. This role demands constant vigilance, the ability to respond swiftly to emergencies, and a commitment to fostering a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests.

Core Responsibilities

• Monitor the swimming area for dangerous conditions, unusual or unsafe activities, and struggling swimmers, applying appropriate rescue techniques when necessary.
• Promote and enforce the rules and regulations of the recreation facility to ensure guest safety and compliance.
• Identify potential situations where guests may be unable to safely participate in an activity and inform a supervisor or manager.
• Provide immediate assistance to injured guests and remain with them until emergency medical services arrive.
• Contribute to a fun and relaxing atmosphere for guests while maintaining professional conduct.
• Manage towel inventory, including obtaining, folding, and stacking according to company procedures.
• Perform cleaning duties for the pool deck, including washing, mopping, and general maintenance.
• Report all accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management and complete required safety training and certifications.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, ensuring a clean and professional appearance, anticipating service needs, assisting individuals with disabilities, and expressing genuine appreciation.
• Communicate professionally and clearly with guests and co-workers, fostering a respectful and supportive team environment.
• Comply with all quality assurance expectations and standards.

Physical Requirements

• Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines to identify any defects or safety concerns.
• Move at varying speeds (*, run, walk, jog) as required to respond to work situations.
• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or for an entire work shift.
• Lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds independently, and objects exceeding 75 pounds with assistance.
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of various sizes and weights, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Navigate sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and service ramps.
• Perform movements such as reaching overhead and below the knees, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

Required Qualifications and Certifications

• High school diploma or *** equivalent.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Current First Aid Certification.
• Fitness Equipment certification.
• Any additional certifications or training mandated by local and state agencies.
