Dar Al Riyadh is seeking a dedicated Lightning Inspector to join our team in Jeddah. This full-time role is crucial for ensuring the integrity and functionality of lighting systems across various projects, requiring a professional with over 10 years of relevant experience.

Role Overview

The Lightning Inspector is responsible for the comprehensive inspection, monitoring, and oversight of all lighting systems within designated project scopes. This includes street lighting, facility lighting, and associated electrical components. The primary objective is to ensure proper installation, operation, and maintenance, while strictly adhering to safety standards, project specifications, and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of street lighting, outdoor lighting poles, fixtures, panels, and underground cabling.
• Monitor maintenance activities and ensure timely repair of lighting faults, including lamps, ballasts, breakers, wiring, and fuses.
• Verify that all lighting installation works comply with approved drawings, project specifications, and international standards.
• Identify defects, damages, or non-compliance issues and report findings to the project manager or maintenance supervisor.
• Follow up on the contractor’s corrective actions to ensure proper completion of work.
• Ensure electrical safety measures are consistently applied during lighting inspections and maintenance works.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inspection reports detailing observations and actions.
• Conduct night inspections to evaluate lighting performance and identify areas with dimming or malfunctioning.
• Supervise lighting maintenance teams as required to ensure efficient operations.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines for any related civil or electrical works.
• Maintain updated records and comprehensive documentation of all lighting systems within the project.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in a relevant inspection or maintenance role.
• Familiarity with international electrical standards such as IEC, NEC, or equivalent.
• Ability to accurately read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documents.
• Experience working with municipal, infrastructure, or Operations & Maintenance (O&M) projects is preferred.

Skills and Competencies

• Strong reporting and documentation skills.
• Good communication and coordination abilities to liaise with various teams and stakeholders.
